Bolivian chaplaincy honoured
 

Fr. Leonardo da Silva Costa CSSp, the national coordinator of the Catholic Prison Chaplaincy in Bolivia, received recognition from the Plurinational State of Bolivia for promoting Human Rights in the country. It is an initiative of the UN Human Rights Commissioner and the Ministry of Justice in Bolivia.

Fr. Leonardo: This is only a gesture of thanks which confirms the commitment of the Catholic Church based on identity, vocation and the Gospel to defend life in the prison world. This initiative is received as an opportunity to raise awareness, advocacy and unity for the common good, in terms of justive and human dignity.
